European Patients' Forum
The European Patient' Forum is an umbrella organisation that works with patients groups in public health and health advocacy across Europe. Our members represent specific chronic disease groups at EU level or are national coalitions of patients

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  •  In consultation with the EPF Director and Communications officer, and reflecting the overall EPF strategic plan, develop a membership strategy to ensure that EPF serves the needs of its members to the optimum;
  •  Provide targeted on-going support and information to members on their requests regarding EU funding opportunities and opportunities to participate in projects;
  •  In collaboration with the EPF policy team, encourage EPF membership input and response to EPF policy consultations;
  •  Facilitate cross fertilization of EPF members’ activities and projects;
  •  In collaboration with the EPF events coordinator and programme team, encourage active membership involvement in the planning, implementation and evaluation of EPF events;
  •  In collaboration with the administrative team ensure an up to date and targeted membership data base;
  •  In collaboration with the communications officer, manage and update the members’ section of the EPF website;
  •  In collaboration with the policy and programme team, coordinate surveys with the EPF membership on specific priority topics for EPF;
  •  In collaboration with the Communications officer encourage EPF members participation in EPF social media and communications and campaign activities;
  •  Update membership pack on a regular basis;
  •  Lead in the recruitment of new members, management of application procedures and facilitation of their integration and active involvement in EPF.

Profile of the candidate
Required:

  • University level educat ion;
  •  2 years’ work experience;
  •  Excellent communications skills both oral and written;
  •  Ability to speak and write English fluently and two other EU languages very well;
  •  Knowledge and experience of how an NGO membership organisation operates;
  •  Knowledge about how a powerful membership organisation can generate change;
  •  Commitment to EU cooperation through a ‘bottom- up approach’ to working with and for member organisations;
  •  Ability to work autonomously within a small team, and within tight deadlines;
  •  Availability for occasional travel.

Desirable:

  •  Background in health, or health related topics;
  •  Knowledge of the EU Institutions;
  •  Operational knowledge of further languages;
  •  Experience in designing and executing surveys via tools such as monkey surveys.
