Euclid Network works to empower social entrepreneurs, civil society leaders and citizens to turn ideas into solutions which meet economic and social need in Europe. Euclid was born from the will of leaders of the social economy and civil society organisations in France, UK and Sweden. It began as a membership body promoting exchange of good practice to help leaders to do their job and advocating at European level to improve policy and conditions for these organisations. It has evolved into an open community of changemakers, with a core membership, who share our values – from business leaders to young entrepreneurs, to academics to representatives from government and international institutions.
You are someone with vision, ideas and stature – the ideal qualities to help revitalise communities across Europe as Euclid’s new President. This is a truly influential non-executive position that will take you around the continent to champion citizens, social entrepreneurs and civil society leaders who have great ideas for change.
How we work
Our working methods, which always involve partnership, are:
Role of President
As President, you will become a figurehead in a movement for free collaboration. We will ask you to chair our Board of Non-Executive Directors - guiding and influencing strategy and ensuring accountability. Across 50 countries you will stimulate partnerships between corporates, not-for-profits, government and universities. And you will look to encourage enlightened institutional policy making at national and European levels.
This non-executive role is unpaid. Travel and accommodation expenses will be paid for the tasks you undertake, including Board meetings which are held around Europe and visits to our headquarters in London. You will be willing to give around 10 days of your time per year for three years. You may be re-elected.
