The Campaign Manager assists the Committee (the executive body of the European Green Party) in the coordination of the Common European Green Campaign and is responsible for managing the campaign and implementing the decisions by the Committee. The Campaign Manager
The European Green Party (EGP) is preparing for the third Common Campaign in view of the European elections of 2014. The EGP is responsible for the organisation and coordination of this campaign in support of its Member Parties. Within the EGP office expertise on the organisation of common campaigns, social media, internet and political communication is available. The campaign Manager we seek brings added value to the team by providing recent experience in political and transnational campaigning. S/he understands the role and position of the European Green Party and is able to mobilise, inspire and coordinate the campaign managers of the Member Parties to cooperate for the upcoming common campaign. Later in this year the EGP will recruit for two additional campaign assistants to make the team complete.
The EGP is managed by a Committee of nine people who are elected by the Council. The Council consists of representatives of the member parties that meets twice a year. The Council and the Committee are supported in their work by the EGP office, located in Brussels, which functions under the responsibility of the Secretary General.
The European Green Party works closely with its Member Parties and the Green Group in the European Parliament, the Green European Foundation and the Federation of Young European Greens.
The position is for a limited duration, from now until August 2014. The Campaign Manager works in the European Green Party Office under the responsibility of the EGP Secretary General and under the direction of the Office Manager.

The EGP office organisation is relatively small in numbers, the people in the office are professionals that are highly skilled, motivated and are working independently with a pro-active and responsible work attitude. They can function at a high level of independence while keeping in mind the common goal, and are adaptable and flexible when it comes to work that might arise outside their normal scope of work. Being independent, reliable, able to communicate effectively in a multinational organisation are key criteria. Candidates must be excellent networkers and have a highly socially intelligent way of interacting. A strong output-based focus and prioritisation is essential to create a constructive outcome, since the workload will remain high due to the nature of the international organisation as well as the dynamics of a political campaign.
The office is located in Brussels near the European Parliament. The Federation of the Young European Greens (FYEG) has its office location as well at these premises. The office provides flexible workspaces for temporary functions, volunteers and network representatives. The office offers meeting space from six to 25 people. Currently 11 people are employed by the EGP. The EGP Committee wishes to employ three full-time employees for the upcoming election campaign, the Campaign Manager and two campaign assistants. Besides these three dedicated employees, the office staff will also contribute to the campaign preparations.
The Campaign Manager is based at the Brussels office of the EGP organisation. The position is full-time (38 hours a week). Flexible working hours as well as regular travel are part of the international job background. The remuneration is between €3,000 and €4,000 gross per month. Belgian tax and social security system are applicable to the salary. The position is a temporary. The EGP invites Green campaign managers to apply. In case an applicant has to move to Brussels, a limited reimbursement of extra costs incurred can form part of the remuneration package.
